The Number One HTTP Server On The
Internet |
The Apache HTTP Server Project is an effort to
develop and maintain an open-source HTTP server for
modern operating systems including UNIX and Microsoft Windows.
The goal of this project is to provide a secure,
efficient and extensible server that provides HTTP
services in sync with the current HTTP standards.
Apache has been the most popular web server on the
Internet since April 1996.
Netcraft Web Server Survey is an influential
indicator of the web sites on the Internet using Apache.
In addition our next server update will include 'Mono'
an Open Source resource enabling DotNET web services to
be hosted on Apache.
The Apache HTTP Server is a project of the
Apache Software
Foundation.
This server provides extensive support for open
source web development.
I trust you will learn and master web development
using this resource. Enjoy: Roger Kirkman
